For the last 30 years, while working at a small CPA firm that specialized in integrated tax planning, I developed a passion for small businesses and a deep respect for those entrepreneurs that were brave enough to start one.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in many roles and developed strong relationships in the community. My specialty is consulting with small business owners and helping them manage and grow their businesses.
Kelly Collier is originally from Indiana and has lived in Myrtle Beach, SC for the past 10 years. She graduated from Indiana University in May 1996 receiving her Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the Kelley School of Business. After college Kelly Joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in Indianapolis where she was promoted to Regional Audit Manager, before joining her father, twin sister and John Gilligan at Haney CPA Group in 2002. At Haney CPA Group, Kelly was a Senior Manager in the Business Tax Division.
In addition to her own practice, Kelly joined Centive Accounting, and her longtime former colleague John Gilligan, in May of 2023. In addition to her CPA license, Kelly maintains professional affiliations with the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) as well as the South Carolina Association of CPAs.

I have worked in the accounting field for more than 10 years as a professional bookkeeper. I specialize in payroll, but enjoy working across different areas of accounting. I work to deliver accurate and reliable financial support.
Entrepreneurship is the heartbeat our family: my father, brothers, husband, and even my sons are running their own companies. So I am thrilled to join the team at Centive Accounting as administrator to support small business owners! My training as a professional counselor combined with my natural aptitude for administration and logistics uniquely helps me to anticipate distinct needs of our clients.
With over 25 years of experience in accounting and financial management, I bring deep expertise and strategic insight to every client engagement. My background spans a variety of industries—including law, real estate, manufacturing, and energy. I have consistently delivered results through streamlined operations, cost-saving initiatives, and accurate financial reporting.
I am especially passionate about working with small business owners, who often need critical financial insights but lack the time to manage daily accounting tasks. I like to partner with these clients to implement practical, efficient solutions that support their growth and long-term success.
Twenty-five years of working with clients in a public accounting arena has provided me extensive experience working with individuals and small businesses to maximize tax savings. Over the years and through many changes in the tax code, I have worked with numerous clients to optimize their tax strategies. The enjoyment comes from helping clarify or educate how little changes can have an impact to the client’s future goals.
